Withdrawal Policy

Introduction

This Withdrawal Policy outlines the procedures for withdrawing an article from the Urdu Research Journal KATIB. Article withdrawal is a serious matter and should be considered carefully. This policy aims to maintain the integrity of the journal and ensure fairness to all authors, reviewers, and readers.

Grounds for Withdrawal

An article may be withdrawn under the following circumstances:

  1. Author’s Request: An author may request withdrawal of their article prior to publication. The request must be made in writing to the journal editor and include a clear explanation for the withdrawal.
  2. Journal’s Decision: The journal may withdraw an article after publication if it is found to contain:
    • Serious errors or inaccuracies that significantly compromise the validity of the research findings
    • Plagiarism or other forms of misconduct
    • Violation of ethical guidelines or copyright infringement
    • Duplicate publication or submission

Withdrawal Procedure

  1. Author-Initiated Withdrawal:
    • The author must submit a written request to the editor, clearly stating the reasons for withdrawal.
    • The editor will acknowledge receipt of the request and inform the author of the journal’s decision.
    • If the withdrawal is approved, the article will be removed from the journal’s website and future issues.
  2. Journal-Initiated Withdrawal:
    • The journal’s editorial board will investigate any allegations of misconduct or errors.
    • If the allegations are substantiated, the journal will issue a formal notice of withdrawal to the author(s).
    • The journal will publish a retraction notice clearly stating the reasons for withdrawal.

Correction and Clarification

If errors or inaccuracies are discovered after publication that do not warrant withdrawal, the journal may publish a correction or clarification.

Copyright and Reuse

Upon withdrawal, the copyright of the article reverts to the author(s). However, the journal reserves the right to publish a retraction notice.

Appeal Process
