Refund Policy

Introduction

The Urdu Research Journal KATIB (hereinafter referred to as “the Journal”) is committed to providing high-quality scholarly publications. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for article processing charges (APCs) paid to the Journal.

Refund Eligibility

Authors may be eligible for a refund of the APC under the following conditions:

  1. Article Withdrawal: If the article is withdrawn by the Journal due to a significant ethical or scientific issue, a full refund of the APC will be issued.
  2. Publication Errors: In the event of substantial errors in the published article that significantly compromise its integrity, the Journal will consider a refund on a case-by-case basis.
  3. Duplicate Publication: If it is determined that the article has been previously published elsewhere without proper citation or permission, a full refund will be issued.
  4. Journal Closure: In the unlikely event of the Journal's closure, authors who have paid APCs for articles that have not yet been published will be issued a full refund.

Refund Process

To initiate a refund request, the author must submit a written request to the Journal's editorial office, clearly stating the reason for the refund and providing supporting documentation if necessary. The Journal will review the request and provide a written response within [number] days of receipt.

If a refund is approved, the Journal will process the refund within [number] business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the APC.

Non-Refundable Charges

APCs are generally non-refundable once the article has been accepted for publication and the production process has begun.

Exceptions

The Journal reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy in rare and exceptional circumstances, at its sole discretion.
