Aim

The KATIB Urdu Research Journal aims to serve as a premier platform for scholarly discourse and critical analysis of Urdu language, literature, and culture. By fostering a vibrant intellectual community, the journal seeks to advance knowledge, promote interdisciplinary research, and contribute to the preservation and enrichment of Urdu heritage.

Scope

KATIB welcomes original research articles, book reviews, and scholarly essays that explore the multifaceted dimensions of Urdu studies. The journal’s scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Urdu Language: Historical development, linguistics, grammar, lexicography, and sociolinguistics.
  • Urdu Literature: Classical, modern, and contemporary poetry, prose, drama, and criticism.
  • Urdu Culture: History, philosophy, religion, art, music, and social customs.
